FemiPro Ingredients: The Full Label List, Line by Line

Quick answer

FemiPro ingredients are nine named actives in two blends. The 350 mg UTI Herbal Blend holds mimosa pudica seed extract, cranberry extract standardized to 30% PACs, bearberry leaf and granular berberine HCl 8%. The 50 mg Probiotic Blend holds five Lactobacillus strains. The capsule shell is gelatin. The label does not print the amount of each herb or a CFU count.

What ingredients are in FemiPro?

The FemiPro Supplement Facts panel lists one serving as one capsule, with 30 servings in a bottle. Every active ingredient sits in one of two blends, and the label gives a weight for each blend, not for each ingredient.

The Supplement Facts panel gives one weight for the four herbs and one for the five strains.

FemiPro ingredients in the 350 mg herbal blend

The four herbs share one 350 mg total. Here is what each one is and what research says about it as a single ingredient.

Cranberry extract, 30% PACs

Cranberry is the best-studied ingredient in the formula. A large review found cranberry probably lowers repeat UTIs in women who get them often. Trials that helped used at least 36 mg of PACs a day. Our post on cranberry PACs explained covers the dose research in detail.

Bearberry (uva-ursi) leaf

Bearberry leaf has a traditional use for mild bladder symptoms in adult women. European regulators accept it for courses of one week at most. FemiPro is taken every day, so ask your doctor before using it for longer than a week.

Granular berberine HCl extract 8%

Berberine is a yellow extract from bark and root. It has been studied for blood sugar and lipids, not for the bladder. Research doses run from 300 to 1,500 mg a day, and the whole herbal blend is 350 mg.

Mimosa pudica seed extract

This is a seed extract from the “sensitive plant.” Research so far is lab and animal work only, with no human trials.

The five probiotic strains in FemiPro

The Probiotic Blend weighs 50 mg and names five Lactobacillus strains down to the strain code:

  • Lactobacillus crispatus LCr86
  • L. acidophilus LA88
  • L. plantarum N13
  • L. gasseri LG08
  • L. casei LC16

Probiotics are dosed by CFU, the count of live cells, not by milligrams. Products usually carry 1 to 10 billion CFU, and effects depend on the exact strain and dose. The FemiPro label gives no CFU count, so the probiotic dose cannot be compared with research. Our guide on how to read a women’s probiotic label explains why that number matters.

Other FemiPro ingredients and the gelatin shell

The other ingredients are gelatin for the capsule shell, plus brown rice flour, magnesium stearate, olive oil and silicon dioxide. The fillers help the powder fill each capsule evenly.

Because the shell is gelatin, FemiPro is not vegetarian, even though a vegetarian seal appears in some sales material. The label is what counts. Skip it if you avoid animal products.

What the FemiPro ingredients label leaves out

The biggest gap is the blend format. The label gives one total for four herbs, so the amount of each herb is unknown. That makes the cranberry dose impossible to check.

Here is simple math. To reach 36 mg of PAC at 30%, a product needs 120 mg of cranberry extract. If all 350 mg of the blend were cranberry, it would hold 105 mg of PAC. It is not all cranberry, and the real share is not published.

  • Herb amounts: not published
  • Probiotic CFU count: not published
  • Finished product tested in a study: no

Who should check FemiPro ingredients with a doctor first

The label advises a physician check for anyone pregnant, nursing, under 18 or with a known medical condition. The ingredient research adds a few more cautions.

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding: bearberry and berberine are not advised.
  • Kidney problems: bearberry is not advised.
  • Any daily prescribed drug: berberine slowed several liver enzymes that clear common drugs.
  • Warfarin or another blood thinner: cranberry has mixed data with warfarin.
Know the limit. A supplement cannot stop an active UTI. See a doctor for burning, fever, back pain or blood in the urine.
